剧情讲述的是Billy Ray Valentine (played by Eddie Murphy), a homeless man disguised as a disabled veteran begging for food. These two individuals, living in completely different worlds, unexpectedly have their destinies changed by a bet. Louis works at the prestigious Duke & Duke Brothers company, enjoying a prestigious position and lavish treatment. Billy accidentally stumbles into an upscale club during a police chase, where he crosses paths with Louis. Louis turns him over to the police, and the Duke brothers, who witnessed the entire ordeal, have different opinions on the matter. They decide to swap the identities and positions of the two men through a bet, leading to a wild and unpredictable exchange of fates.
